ABOUT ME.
Hi, I’m Anna — a 23-year-old photographer with a beautiful Finnish surname, Sipari. But let’s get to know each other a little closer than just through text and photos on a screen.
I’m a portrait and documentary photographer based in Tallinn.
I work in different directions, but most often you’ll find portraits of men, women, and nature in my portfolio.
My style is a philosophical look at a person, seasoned with a black-and-white and film mood. It’s about the beauty of the present moment and about how we reveal ourselves within it.
In front of my camera, you don’t need to be a model or look perfect — it’s enough just to be yourself. And even though this phrase may sound cliché, its meaning is simple to the point of absurdity. Absurdity in how much we’ve complicated life and ourselves. My goal is to remove those layers and show that beauty lives in simplicity, in emptiness and fullness at the same time.
Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, though at first I was on the other side of the lens: my dad’s camera, my grandma’s film rolls, and I were inseparable throughout my childhood. Even now, when I hold a camera, warm memories surface — they’re what give my images that gentle, sun-soaked sense of nostalgia.
Later, I spent years photographing just for myself and through that, I learned how deeply photography helps us understand who we are. Then, during one of the most transformative moments of my life, I decided to open this door fully and become someone people come to with their most fragile and precious moments.
My biggest weakness is when you let go of control in front of the camera and become weightless…
